BA (Sociology), MA, Registered Psychotherapist Associate Psychotherapist/Counsellor

Hello! I’m Keirann (she/her), a therapist who believes that every client has it within themselves to achieve their goal towards healing. I believe that though life can be beautiful, it is also challenging with times of suffering and change.

Are you dealing with loss (relationship, job, friendship, pet, partner, physical or cognitive ability like dementia) or a life transition that is causing you anxiety, stress, grief, anger, increased substance use, or leaving you asking questions like “What is my purpose in life?” If this is the case, I’m here to support you.

I take a holistic approach to mental well-being, recognizing the profound importance of the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. I work with people from all walks of life and believe in creating an open, non-judgmental space for you to express yourself. I base my therapy on an inclusive and non-oppressive framework keeping your unique experience in this world and the suffering you endure at the centre of our work together as we seek to uncover your inner strength and resiliency. Together, we can explore the root causes of your issues, reconnect with your body through nervous system regulation and find meaning in your life.

I Work With

Therapy Modalities

I work integratively, drawing from several therapeutic modalities and believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, instead we collaborate to find what works best for you.

When I’m not working, I have been known to dedicate much of my time to my family and dogs. The human-animal bond is something that I hold dear to my heart, so you’ll find me volunteering my time with my dog Augie at a long-term care home or university. I will admit that I tend to be a bit of nerd sometimes and absolutely love attending weekly trivia night. I also love cooking and spending time outdoors walking and geocaching with my partner.

Seeking support can be hard, but if you think we could be a good match then I’m excited to be part of your journey. I am available for daytime, evening, and some weekend appointments.

Feel free to reach out for a free consultation or to book a session!

Caregiver Specific Support

One area of specialization that I am passionate about is caregiver support. I have several years of experience supporting caregivers in retirement/long-term care, hospital, and pet caregivers. My expertise is in working with those living with or supporting someone with dementia or a new medical diagnosis. Additionally, I have several years of experience supporting pet parents through difficult medical diagnoses and grief support.
