Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious? Struggling with relationships, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or finding balance in life transitions? Do you find yourself incessantly worrying, or feeling like you’re not “good enough”? Are you ready to discover a better version of yourself?

Hi, I’m Theresa! I believe in the power of collaboration – working together to explore challenges, set goals, and pave the way towards a more fulfilling life. I’ll empower you with valuable insights and practical tools, like mindfulness and self-compassion, and help you cultivate a healthier mindset.

Life’s challenges don’t have to be faced alone. I offer afternoon and evening appointments and would love to support you. You can book a no-commitment, free consultation with me to see if I’m the right fit for you. I look forward to connecting and being a part of your journey!

I Work With

Therapy Modalities

Before transitioning into the world of clinical research, I spent several years as an elementary school teacher where I discovered the joy of guiding and supporting others. This passion for helping people grow eventually led me to pursue clinical psychological research in 2016. Since then, I’ve explored a wide range of fascinating topics, including geriatric psychiatry, dementia, attachment, interview anxiety, self-compassion, and the psychophysiology of sexual health. Currently, I’m part of a research team focused on the impacts of trauma, which continues to inspire my work and shape my approach to therapy.

These experiences have strengthened my commitment to psychoeducation and evidence-based practices in my work as a therapist. I love combining my teaching background with a solid foundation in research to offer practical, research-backed guidance that empowers and supports each client’s unique journey. My goal is to deliver insights that are not only grounded in science but also tailored to your specific needs.

I take an inclusive, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to therapy. We’ll begin by exploring what has brought you to therapy, and from there, we’ll work together to create a plan that helps you meet your goals. I’ll support and encourage you to apply what we cover in therapy to your day-to-day life so you can experience the full benefit of your efforts. I generally follow a two-pronged approach: helping you build a toolkit to manage everyday challenges while also exploring the deeper, underlying issues contributing to your struggles. Together, we’ll discover what works best for you, using an eclectic approach tailored to your needs.

On a personal level, I love to get out into nature and explore!  If I am inside doing research or working with clients, I’m surrounded by my (ever-growing) collection of houseplants. Just like my plants, I try to get some sunshine every day and stay hydrated — though, I prefer to be watered with coffee!

If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d love to connect. I offer afternoon and evening sessions on weekdays. Feel free to reach out for a free consultation or to book a session!
